 Market Update
What a difference a week makes!

After correcting sharply last week, it seems that the market is back to its winning ways. The week finished on an up note, with all major indices logging significant gains on increased volume, which is always a positive development.

In our last Weekly Update, we stated that, despite last week's downturn, the market up trend was still intact. If you took advantage of the dip to buy QQQ at Monday's open price, you are looking at a 4.37% gain as of Friday's close.

As a result of this week's action, our Buy signal is still in full force.

 Trend Timing School
The trend timer's investment style and personality

This week's topic deals with the trend timer's investment style and personality. Stock market participants come in many flavors and exhibit fundamental differences that go well beyond the basic Buy and Hold versus market timer. It is critical to understand who we are in order to filter noise from relevant information and to adopt a compatible and sustainable behavior. To simplify the wide spectrum, we will describe investors, traders, and speculators with the understanding that they are not purely black and white categories and that many of us exhibit multiple personalities (just don't get them confused!) Furthest from trend timers are speculators who engage in what amounts to betting based on more or less educated guesses as to the possible outcome. Since speculations tend to be a high risk/high reward activities where the entire capital can be lost, the primary motivator is often the thrill of the game. The trader, on the other hand, employs a much more systematic approach to buying and selling. Since trading techniques exploit short term market inefficiencies such as price discrepancies, overbought/oversold situations, international currency or interest rate fluctuations, by definition they involve frequent short duration transactions. Many dreamed of fast fortunes with day trading during the market bubble days, most just try to make a living at it. Trading can be a very involved and time consuming activity where fairly few people succeed for prolonged periods of time. An investor buys or sells a security because he has a strong belief, backed by fundamental or technical analysis, that it will gain or lose value over time.

In summary, a trend timer is a long-term
investor who intends to build substantial wealth by applying a disciplined, non-emotional trend following investment system to all or most serious money available.

 FAQ of the Week
Question: Can I convert from a monthly to a yearly subscription plan?

About three quarters of new members begin with a monthly subscription to try us out. Often, after a decision is made to follow the TimingCube system - usually with the investment of real money in accordance to our signal - there is a long term commitment established and you frequently ask if it is possible to convert from a monthly to a yearly plan. The answer is yes, and you achieve savings of about 16% over the monthly fees - nearly two free months per year! Here is how it works:
We will simply charge you an extra $270.00 and your subscription will be good for one year from the date of your last $29.95 monthly payment. You will therefore have paid $299.95 for one year of service from that date. Let's take an example. If your monthly subscription was last renewed on September 25, you were charged $29.95 on that date. With the additional $270.00 charge, you will have in effect paid a total of $299.95 which is our yearly fee. Your subscription will be good for one year from September 25.

All it takes is an e-mail to sales@timingcube.com asking to convert to a yearly plan. Please provide your Full Name and your User ID in that e-mail.

As detailed in our Refund/Cancellation Policy, once the 30-day money back guarantee period is over there are no refunds for either monthly or yearly plans

Warm wishes and until next week.
